The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), our neighbor here in Downtown North St. Louis, is nearing completion on their massive $1.7 billion Next NGA West campus. According to this CoStar article, the 3.5 million square foot campus spanning 99 acres is one of the largest federal construction projects currently underway. The modern facility will consolidate NGA's scattered St. Louis area offices into one secure location, housing over 3,000 employees focused on providing geospatial intelligence to the U.S. government and military.

St. Louis’ Geospatial and High-Tech Ecosystem continues to blossom — as Esri has recently moved to The Globe Building, joining a diverse array of key Geospatial Intelligence, FinTech, MedTech, and other High-Tech firms in St. Louis’ newest and fastest growing innovation district, the 18-square block Downtown North Insight District.

Inspiration for the portal -the colloquial name for the logo- came from the building’s west gate, honoring the art-deco features that define its character. A series of growing line-arches equidistant from each other, creates a repetitive pattern symbolizing the expansive nature of the geospatial industry. The logo infuses a sense of grounded stability, strength, and solidity to the identity system, paired with a color palette in alignment with Startwood Group’s green. Complementary tones borrow from military camo and industrial finishes in the building.

USGIF invites industry professionals to join the GEOINT 2023 Symposium—the largest annual gathering of geospatial intelligence professionals in the nation, from May 21-24, at America’s Center Convention Complex.

The Globe Building, through its partnership with Westway Services Group, LLC., features a multi-tenant 75,000 square feet Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Secret Collateral office space. This space is the largest SCIF that currently exists outside the Nation's Capitol Region and meets a growing demand for a secure workspace to support the country’s defense and intelligence missions.
